Career Description

Web designers and developers create, develop and maintain Internet and Intranet Web sites. They consult with clients to establish the nature and content of Web sites and design Web sites with those specifications.

Duties May Include

Web site designers and developers design, build and maintain Web sites. They may be expected to prepare, write, manage and troubleshoot Web development code and maintain and update existing code for small to large-sized organizations.

They may identify the requirements of effective interactive design, solve problems in 2-D and 3-D design, apply interface design principles, capture and compress video and write HTML code.

They may also use such skills as image preparation, animation and interface design.

They may be expected to analyze business needs, perform customer-needs assessments and identify how businesses use multimedia design.
